What the health check looks at
- The basics: verification, your main category, your name, address and contact details.
- Hours: normal hours and public holiday hours.
- Photos and details: description, services, recent photos, logo, cover and posts.
- Reviews: replying, getting new ones in a fair way, and handling bad ones.
- Upkeep: monthly checks and who owns the profile.
Each question carries points, and the basics count for the most. The weights are our own judgement from looking after profiles, not Google’s ranking formula. Google says local results are based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence: how Google ranks local results.
Questions
Does it cost anything?
No. There’s no cost and no sign-in. You see your score on screen, and the full report comes by email if you want it.
Is this an official Google score?
No. It’s our own checklist. A high score doesn’t promise any ranking, but it does mean the basics are covered. Local Heights is independent and not affiliated with Google.
What happens to my details?
To send your report we use your email, and we keep a copy of the report email and your details for up to 12 months. If you tick the tips box we also keep the date and the exact wording you agreed to, as proof of consent. We don’t save your IP address or browser details, and we don’t keep your answers apart from the score and fixes in your report.
How often should I run it?
Every few months, or after any big change like new hours, a move or a new phone number.
