Will it work on metal?

Metal can block NFC, so stick it on wood, plastic, glass or a laminated menu rather than straight onto metal.

How is this different from blank NFC tags?

Blank tags arrive empty and you program them yourself. A Tap Spot comes programmed with your link, tested on iPhone and Android, and locked so nobody else can overwrite it.

Can it open Instagram instead?

Yes. Choose what it opens when you order: Google reviews, Instagram, Facebook or your own link.

Can the link be changed later?

Yes. Every chip is rewritable and locked with a password, so a stranger can't overwrite it but we can. If your link changes, WhatsApp us on 075 330 9812 and we'll sort it out.

Does it have a QR code?

No, it's tap only. For customers whose phones don't tap, pair it with a stand or plate that has a QR code.

How long does delivery take?

Dropped at The Courier Guy within 1 working day of payment and your confirmed link. From there it takes 2 to 3 working days to main centres, up to 5 working days regionally, to a Courier Guy locker or your door, anywhere in South Africa. Delivery is included on orders from R499. Under R499: R65 to a Courier Guy locker or R95 to your door.

Can I buy it unprogrammed and set it up myself?

Yes. Pick Unprogrammed under Setup, at the same price. The NFC chip comes blank and there's no printed QR code, so you write your own link to it with an NFC app, and we skip the link step at checkout. Changed your mind? WhatsApp us on 075 330 9812 and we'll set it up at no extra cost.
